Materials and Techniques:Wool knotted pile on cotton foundation, asymmetric knot.
PILE: knotted wool (white cotton?), 10 colours: red, light red, orange, yellow, light green, dark blue, blue, light blue, purple, white. Asymmetrical, open to the left, (occasionally jufti knotting as others). Tied round 2 warp threads.
WARP: cotton, white, Z4S; depressed, density 24-26 per inch (92-100 dm)
WEFT: white cotton and off white and brown wool. Cotton Z4S; Wool Z spun unplied, 2 parallel, sinous , 1 shoot after each row of knots, cotton alternating with wool. 12 rows to inch,(50 dm)
WIDE FINISH: 1 cord oversewn with purple wool
END FINISH: lower: missing
Upper: incomplete - cut; in places 2 cm warp fringe, some evidence of plain weave in light brown wool.
