Middle East, Metalwork. A horseman's mace with a well balanced slender steel shaft surmounted by a two tiered globular head and finial. The globes are composed of multiple flanges; those on the top tier having cusped lower edges. The shaft is decorated with gold and silver kuftkari, Iran, C19.; Islamic arms and armour.
