Elamite statuette, made of grey-green marble, in the form of two monkeys, from Iran, perhaps the site of Susa, in the late 4th millennium B.C. One monkey is riding on the back of the other, gripping his sides. The monkey being ridden has his right leg forward and holds his arms on either side of his face. Eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth are incised on the faces of both figures.
