Middle East, Metalwork. Composite recurved bow of wood and gut, in the unstrung position with nocks crossed over each other. The belly is painted red/orange, the grip and nocks black with gold painted or lacquered floral decoration and the nocks themselves are painted gold. Iran, 19th century. Islamic arms and armour.
