Middle East, Metalwork. Black lacquered buffalo hide with repousse brass bosses, two mounted with turquoises. They are surrounded by eight smaller bosses and a crescent, also repousse brass, the majority with stones missing. The red leather knuckle pad is attached by brass fittings. Iran; Middle East.
