WARP: white wool; Z2S; 24 threads per inch (91 per dm); depressed. WEFT: brown wool; Z spun, unplied, check possibly 2 parallel threads per shoot; 2 shoots after each row of knots; 19 knots per inch (71 per dm). PILE: wool and silk; 11 colours: dark red, red, orange, dark green, dark blue, blue, dark purple, purple (wool), purple (silk), dark brown, white; asymmetrical knot open to the left and tied around 2 threads; 228 knots per sq. inch (3230 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: Left: one cord oversewn with dark blue wool. Right: one cord oversewn with dark green wool. END FINISH: Lower: plain weave with a band of red weft and a band of cream weft; turned and stitched in place. Upper: plain weave with 1" of red and 1" of cream weft; turned and stitched.
